Travel Advice

Before travelling anywhere in Africa OpenWater.Africa recommends that you seek professional travel advice, especially with regard to necessary vaccinations, exceptional disruptions to travel, or tourist travel advisories, from your country of origin.

Vaccinations:

Most travellers to Malawi will be required to have vaccinations for:

  • Hepatitis A
  • Tetanus
  • Typhoid
  • Malaria

Vaccination recommendations may change periodically. It is, therefore, recommended to check these at least eight weeks before you travel.

Bilharzia, a parasitic infection, is a known risk associated with tropical and sub-tropical regions. The disease is easily treated but treatment must be sought immediately.
