Lake Malawi

Lake Malawi is located between three countries: Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania. Lake Malawi is the fourth largest lake in the world by volume and is the second deepest in Africa. At approximately 350 miles in length and 47 miles at its widest point. It is also home to more species of fish than any other lake.

The shortest crossing, 24 km, from Makanjila to Senga, will see you swimming in water temperatures of around 24 to 29 degrees Celsius (75 to 84 Fahrenheit), and air temperature around 26 degrees Celsius (80 Fahrenheit). With strong currents and swells that can reach six meters high, Lake Malawi has a deserved position as one of the STILL WATER 8.
